Workout Monitor Privacy Policy

Workout Monitor ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles data when you use Workout Monitor on iOS.

1. Data we collect and why

A) Location and GPS (foreground and background)

We use precise location data (GPS) during active workouts to:

• Calculate distance, pace, speed and altitude
• Draw route maps and display your path
• Support workout features that continue when your screen is locked (when enabled)

Location collection is limited to workout tracking and is not used for unrelated purposes. Route telemetry is stored privately and locally on your device.

• Foreground: while the app is open during an active workout.
• Background: only if you enable background tracking and start a workout, so your session can continue when the screen locks.

B) Health and heart rate telemetry (HealthKit and Bluetooth)

Workout Monitor can integrate with Apple HealthKit (with your permission) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) heart rate monitors (for example Polar, Garmin, Wahoo). We use this data to provide real-time calorie burn estimates, heart rate display, and Karvonen heart rate zones and zone-based insights.

We do not sell health data. We do not share health data with third parties. We do not use health data for advertising. Health and heart-rate data is used solely to provide fitness tracking and training features inside the app.

C) Advertising and App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

The free tier displays non-intrusive advertisements powered by Google AdMob, including banner ads, occasional interstitial ads at natural transition points (such as tapping "Done" after completing a workout, viewing workout history or accessing settings), and optional rewarded videos to generate shareable social media cards. Lifetime PRO users are permanently 100% ad-free and tracking-free.

D) In-app purchases (Lifetime PRO)

Payments are processed securely by Apple StoreKit and handled through your Apple ID and Apple's payment systems. Workout Monitor does not collect or store personal billing credentials (such as full card numbers).

2. How data is stored

• Workout and route telemetry: stored locally on your device.
• Some app settings and preferences may be stored on-device to improve your experience.

3. Third-party services

• Google AdMob: advertising in the free version (banners, interstitials and rewarded videos).
• Apple HealthKit: health and workout data synchronization, with your explicit permission.
• Third-party music apps: Workout Monitor provides launcher shortcuts for Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music using standard local iOS URL schemes. The app does not access, collect or store your music account credentials, playlists or listening data.

4. Your choices and controls

You can control permissions at any time in iOS:

• Location: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Workout Monitor
• HealthKit: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Workout Monitor (or within the Health app)
• Bluetooth: Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth → Workout Monitor
• Tracking (ATT): Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

5. Children's privacy

Workout Monitor is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us so we can address the concern.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will revise the date above when we do.

Terms of Service and EULA

The application is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

• Intended use: Workout Monitor is provided for personal athletic training and fitness tracking.
• Safety disclaimer: Workout Monitor does not provide medical advice. Always exercise safely and according to your physical condition. If you have a medical condition, consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program.
• Your responsibilities: use the app in compliance with applicable laws and iOS device safety guidelines, maintain control of your device while exercising (for example when running, cycling or driving), and do not misuse the app in a way that could harm others, interfere with services or violate rights.
• Purchases: Lifetime PRO is an optional in-app purchase. Purchase management (including cancellations, refunds where available and restoration) is handled by Apple under StoreKit and App Store rules.
• Limitation of liability: to the maximum extent permitted by law, Workout Monitor and its developers are not liable for damages resulting from your use of the app, including injuries related to workouts or reliance on fitness metrics.
• Changes: we may update the app and these terms to reflect improvements, legal requirements or operational changes.
